    Complete Guide to Marriott Hotels

    Jul 19, 2021 · 2 Comments

Marriott hotels are a top choice for all types of travelers. Marriott is one of the largest hotel brands, with more than 7000 properties throughout the world. With so many hotel chains in the Marriott company to choose from, it can get quite confusing as to which is which and how to choose.

In this guide, I will explain which brands are in the Marriott chain, and what they are known for.

These tips are a neat travel hack that will help plan your trip

    Luxury Brands

There are seven hotels that Marriott considers a "luxury brand". This includes Ritz Carlton, The Luxury Edition, St. Regis, Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts, Edition, JW Marriott, and W Hotels Worldwide. These hotels are very exquisite, and you can even book presidential suites with 24/7 food service.

Some amenities that these hotels provide are valet service, bar and restaurant on-site, and chauffeur service.

These hotels are generally quite expensive. They can even cost upwards of a few thousand dollars!

There is also something known as "Collection Hotels", which I would put in this category. This includes Autograph Collection Hotels, Design Hotels, and Tribute Portfolio.

Both the luxury brands and the Collection Hotels are hotels are perfect for travelers that are looking for a top-notch luxurious experience.

    Premium Brands

There are 11 hotels that Marriott considers a "premium brand". This includes Sheraton, Marriott Hotels, Marriott Vacation Club, Delta Hotels, Westin Hotels and Resorts, Le Meridien, Renaissance Hotels, Autograph Collection Hotels, Tribute Portfolio, Design Hotels, and Gaylord Hotels.

These hotels are something that I would still consider luxury hotels, but they aren't as exquisite as the luxury brands. Also, they won't break the bank.

Some amenities that are generally included are valet parking, on-site bar and restaurant, and a resort-style pool.

In summary, I would recommend these hotels for anyone that is wanting a luxury stay but not as expensive as the luxury brands.

    Select Brands

There are 8 hotels that Marriott considers a "select brand". This includes Courtyard Hotels, Springhill Suites, Four Points by Sheraton, Fairfield Hotels, Protea Hotels, AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, and Moxy Hotels.

These hotels are hotels that offer great value with a quality service. You can never go wrong with these hotels, and they also offer great amenities such as hot breakfast (this may have changed depending on the location due to the pandemic), pool, microwave and fridge in the room, and sometimes a coffee maker.

I would recommend these hotels for someone that wants to have a quick stay at a hotel, yet have the Marriott quality.

One example of an amenity that you get in select hotels is an outdoor pool, such as this one at Four Points Sheraton.

    Extended Stay

There are 5 hotels that Marriott considers an "extended stay" hotel. These include Marriott Executive Apartments, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Element Hotels, and Homes and Villas by Marriott International.

Extended Stay hotels offer many features such as a full kitchen, and even in most cases, a living room and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms.

These hotels are perfect for anyone that is staying for an extended period of time, as they offer better rates for extended stays and have all the features you need of a temporary home.

    Summary of Marriott Hotels

Marriott is one of the best hotel brands in the world, offering many different types of experiences. I highly recommend staying at Marriott, as they are always consistent in their quality and service.
